And sacrificed his corporeal incarnation to stop the FFXIV Garleans from seizing control of it

Nope, like many players, you have simply stumbled upon the million dollar question.

Midgardsormr has guarded Silvertear Falls since time immemorial as part of a covenant with Hydaelyn, and sacrificed his corporeal incarnation to stop the UFFXIV Garleans from seizing control of it. However, he appears to have also, at some point, let the Allagans establish the seat of their empire in the region around it; wage a campaign from said seat that kills/imprisons at least two of his First Brood; and on top of all that trap the primal incarnation of his son, along with tens of thousands of living worshipers, in an artificial satellite that generates energy from their endlessly perpetuated suffering, channeling said energy down to, you guessed it, a giant crystal spire situated squarely in his domain, spitting distance from Silvertear Falls.

So what gives, Middy? Nobody knows, yet. Please look forward to it!

We don’t know but at a Pax East 2015 interview with Koji Fox he said that we would find out what the deal with Silvertear Lake was, what was sealed under it and what Midgardsormr was guarding in the 3.x cycle. So its likely to come up in the ongoing patch story.

My guess is the reason FFXIV Gil Midgardsormr didn’t get involved with the Allag may have to do with whatever his compact is. I’m guessing since the dragons sound like they aren’t native that his guardianship was one of the conditions he had to allow the dragons to live upon the planet.

I think Life Surge in FFXIV in JP might also be Ryuken

4275 without a group, to be precise. I’d love to be able to flip over to MP burning mode if I’m out of TP and invigorate isn’t ready yet (a DRK habit I picked up), but I’m pretty sure giving Final Fantasy XIV Gil DRG effectively two resource pools would just put every other DPS in the dirt forever.

Maybe they could give DRG MP a use if they made a (real) tank variant…

I think Life Surge is Lancet.

Ryuken is the JP phrase for Lancer/Dragon/Lancet/Dragon Sword/Spirit Surge ability used in FF5/FF7/FF9/FF10/FF11 respectively. That being said, since FFXI’s Spirit Surge in JP is called Ryuken in the JP FFXIV, I think Life Surge in FFXIV in JP might also be Ryuken (the animation even shows dragon spirits wrapping around you, not unlike Freya’s ‘Lancer” attack in FF9. It also drains HP from the mob, just like Lancer/Lancet.

Now something like White Draw or Reis Wind would be cool abiltiies for a lv70 level cap in the future. Reis Wind could be a weaker AoE or even a self Regen, as opposed to Second Wind which is instant. White Draw could be an oGCD with like 120 potency that confers 25% of the damage into raid-wide +MP or something lol.

I guess, I was just thinking of creative ways for us to use our massive MP pool, even if it’s just added support when solo or in 4mans or something, kinda like Freya in FF9 that had some light support abilities in addition to her damage abilities. Nothing game changing or to increase our DPS as it’s already high, but I figure MNK has Mantra and Second Wind, DRG has Battle Litany but only at 52, no other real support or heals except from cross class. They could even make Cheap FFXIV Gil White Draw or Reis Wind a lancer ability so other people could cross class it.

FFXIV Defiance and why it’s actually better than Grit and Shield Oath

The paragraph on “Defiance and why it’s actually better than Grit and Shield Oath” is flat out wrong and is just poor mathematical understanding — defiance stack just as multiplicatively as shield oath. Do the eHP computations rigorously if you are not convinced. Due to the 20% increased heal instead of 25%, it is actually slightly weaker than shield oath.

“You want to maintain agro first and foremost, with Storm’s Path being the next most important, followed by Storm’s Eye.”
No. Just flat out no. Maintaining storm’s eye should be a priority 90% of the time, not the thing you think about last.

“Generic, all purpose single target: BB>SE>SP.”
This is just awful.

“Single target max agro generation or damage while tanking: SE>BB>BB”
If you can’t maintain aggro doing SE BB SE BB rotation you have some serious things to reconsider. Doing two BB in a row means a minimum of 10 GCD (factoring a wrath ability at the minimum), so losing SE for 5 seconds — minimum. You are not only gimping your own DPS that way, you are also wasting the one of the other tank and any potential ninja in the group.

“So you’ve seen those threads on reddit and on the official forums about Warriors who are tanking in Deliverance and doing infinity+1 FFXIV Gil DPS and you think to yourself, “Man, I want to do that. How do I do that?”

The answer? You don’t.”
Please stahp. Being 100% in deliverance is not a good idea for challenging content, but pushing as much uptime on deliverance as is reasonnable is an important part of being a good warrior. To the point that the question is not as much “when can i afford to be in deliverance while tanking”, and more “when do i need to be in defiance while tanking ?” Obviously the correct answer to that question requires one to be extremely knowledgeable on each parts of the fight, and some serious thinking on how to maximize what you can get out of your cooldowns. But starting the paragraph on deliverance tanking with such a strong denial is just plain wrong.

I could go on. Most of this seems really unhelpful or even damageable for someone wishing to improve as a warrior.

Ok a few more then :

“This is pretty much the case on every pull. Occasionally (if you have weak FFXIV DPS) you can get away with Storm’s Eye first, but it isn’t really needed and it is risky.”
If you don’t open with storm’s Eye you have some serious issues, once again. With unchained plus berserk, you shouldn’t lose aggro, no matter how strong the dps are in your Final Fantasy XIV Gil group. If you do, you, or them, did something very wrong.

We can’t even get the top tier participation Final Fantasy XIV bonus

May 16th indeed, but we have less than 2000 Jumbo tickets sold per week on Malboro. We can’t even get the top tier participation bonus. Considering the Jumbo Cactpot is tied to an actual Achievement that is currently programmed to take the average player 50 years to earn, which is then used for the meta achievement with the High Roller title, I’d expect that Final Fantasy XIV SE has plans to eventually allow us to buy FFXIV Gil multiple Jumbo tickets per week, similar to how we can already do with the Mini Cactpot. Unless they really think this game and it’s players can last 50 years, lol…….but then again they think Triple Triad Tournaments are operating acceptably too sooooo…who knows?

Do you mean in real life with finite and quantifiable resources where the rarity of awards is needed to ensure its viability from a financial standpoint? Or in something like- I don’t know- a video game where a broader range of rewards could be generated, at much lesser values than the top prizes but better than the insignificant prize 99.9% of people get every week and isn’t worth the repeated effort, without impacting the sustainability/financing of the lottery program itself?

Actually, I guess I don’t know, if you could write a long detailed post educating us on the subject that would be awesome.

Keep an eye on the number of tickets sold for each drawing.

I am on Balmung, one of the most populated servers, and I was quite surprised to see less than 5,000 tickets being sold per week. This last week was only about 4,800 tickets sold.
That really opened my eyes to seeing why people weren’t winning more often. After all, compared to real life lotteries, 1 in 10,000 odds is actually pretty high, so I expected much more people to be winning.
The sad truth is that, no one is playing. That is why no one is winning.

The real issue is that the MGP rewards aren’t that great. What can you do with 1 million MGP? You can…
(1) get a super cool looking Mount… that doesn’t fly.
(2) get a super rare Triple Triad Card… that you probably can’t use anyway because every Final Fantasy XIV NPC and their mother uses the Random rule.

All the other rewards can be obtained fairly easily from Final Fantasy XIV Gil playing Mini Cactpot and grinding Triple Triad (or maybe Chocobo Racing if you’re so inclined; most people aren’t).

Final Fantasy XIV CUL Blue Scrips help please!

Hello! I’ve recently gotten Final Fantasy XIV Gil into crafting, but need some help with starting off with Blue Scrips. I currently have the following leveled:
Culinarian 60
Carpenter 50
Every other craft 15

The problem is, I sped through the leveling of my Culinarian by burning through leves and didn’t realize that Blue Scrips were available from 56. Now, my Culinarian is 60 with no Blue Scrips, and when I looked at the ingredients to craft the easiest possible recipe, it asks me to use a Bullion Cube! I then proceed to find out that those are bought by spending Blue Scrips – naturally I think “What gives?” and looked around the forums to see that others have also noticed this. Unable to craft it, I went to the next easiest recipe that does not require a material from Blue Scrips (also the one many have recommended) the Marron Glace.

I pull out the ingredients and try to get to the minimum collectibility (which I can meet), but cannot manage to complete the craft afterwards. I have looked up many rotations that people use, to be disappointed with the fact that I am considerably under geared in terms of Craftmanship, Control AND Final Fantasy XIV CP.

Unfortunately, I do not have the money to buy better gear or to meld materia, and do not really have the intention to do so either. My goal is to just be a casual Culinarian who can craft level 60 foods with no big trouble.

Could someone please give me any tips of what I can do to overcome this problem?

Please and thank you!

One last thing: Please don’t say “level all your crafters to 50” or something along those lines. I’m pretty limited on playtime and I’m already working on Weaver and Alchemist for CSII and CZ.

Well, crafting level 60 food (HQ I’m assuming) “with no big trouble” will be hard if you’re undergeared and have no cross class abilities. Even with blue scrip gear this will not be that easy, but will be possible.

Final Fantasy XIV Marron Glace is a level 59 recipe, and is not exactly easy, especially cause you said you’re lacking on all relevant stats, so I’d say to look for some bullion cubes on MB to craft the easier recipes. Just craft something of the same level first to check if you can finish the craft with the minimum collectability, so you don’t spend gil for nothing. Any crafter with blue scrips can get it and lend to you… It’s just 40 blue scrips for a set of 5 bullion cubes, and you can give the mats back when you start getting the scrips yourself.

If this do not work cause your stats are way too low, you will have to get cheap ffxiv gil better gear, there’s no other way.
